What reading level is The Fate of Henry of Navarre a True Account of How He Was Slain With a Descri book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

267 The Fate of Henry of Navarre held conferences with another Jesuit father, le pere d'Aubigne (who was almost certainly no connection of d'Aubigne, the Huguenot writer, or, if so, was an un- recognized one) ; and that he had shown him the knife with which he intended to do the deed. A little later, in fact, on the next page, the diarist states that a quarrel had arisen at the Council between Lomenie (the devoted secretary of Henri) and Cotton, and that the former openly charged the latter and
... other Jesuits with having instigated the murder of Henri.
It is, however, difficult to believe in the accuracy of this statement, though quite easy to imagine that not only Lomenie, but half the people in Paris, believed such to be the case. The reason for doubting its accuracy is that Henri had, of late, sought in every way the good- will of the Jesuits and, amongst them, none had been more humoured and caressed than Father Cotton, whom Henri had constituted his confessor.
Moreover, he had aided the Jesuits to increase their colleges, had ordered all bishops, mayors and syndics to treat them with gentleness and respect, and to them, and their college of La Fleche, he bequeathed his heart after death.
