He finds in its author a scholar of Philo, who had appropriated his Platonic theory of the Word, as Digitized by VjOOQIC 32 THE PROBLEM OF THE FOURTH GOSPEL the indwelling, unuttered thought of God (Uyog hdiadirog), and as the manifested divine reason {Uyoq Trpw^piKdq).
