Leaves somewhat falcately or dimidiately lanceolate, acute, 1. 5-2. 5x6-10 cm. , involutely contracted for scarcely 5 mm. Rather than petioled, thick and indistinctly nerved. Spikes more or less clustered, very long (at AEQUATORIALES CYMOSAE 161 length 100 mm.
