Mr. Barnard w as ratlier less than the medium height, was slim in build, had gray hair and gray eyes. He was very de- cided in his opinions, and was very conscientious in forming them. Lie was a member of the Christian Church of the Re- formation. He was a member of the Baptist Church before the reformation took place, about forty years ago.
