(Weltkarte, p. 31) believes that this is the same stream called by the anonymous Geographer of Ravenna, 4, 11, the Bangis, and argues that as the Northmen called every stream that emptied into the Ocean vags flod, vags floif, vdgs straumr, or something of the sort, the general term seems here to be used as a proper name.
