In his principal work, which appeared in the form of Letters from Lis- more, and was printed in Dublin in 1771, he claims the credit of discovering the identity of electricity and lightning. According to his own directions, Henry Eeles was buried on the highest part of Knockmeledown, with his horse and dog.
Lism...ore, once a celebrated city, became after- wards a neglected and miserable village, con- sisting of a few hovels, and without any trace of its former magnificence, except what might be gathered from the ruins of the castle and tlu' church.
