We hunted for them the next morning and at last found their dead bodies near some rocks, under the lee of which they had sought shelter. Again there was a big feast, in company with the birds of the air and the beasts of the field. ^ We barked all night to drive away the jackals and the hyaenas, but at last we could eat no more, so we returned to the camp and slept until dawn.
