The teachers unanimously took part, and did all in their power to make the Institute interesting and profitable. This probably was the most interesting and profitable Institute ever held in Solano County.

I believe that section work, conducted by our own teachers, produces the most practical results. The Sonoma County schools are in a healthy and promising con- dition. Of the one hundred and twenty-eight districts, but two have maintained school for less than eight months, and they lacked but one half a month of that time.
