" Weston's uncle, a feller named The Hender- THE LAND WHERE THE SUNSETS GO 33 son, who lived up the gulch 'bout one or three miles above this here shack, was a pretty hard nut, an' it seems he'd bought the outfit we found in the empty shack from two fellers who'd stocked it up an' then pulled out ahead o' time.
