One Sunday, in particular, as just going to eat our dinner, (to which Mr. Ward and his wife were invited, ) the child was suddenly taken, and turned as black as ebony itself; but, on its recovery, like the sun appearing through a cloud, all the charms of infant loveliness returned, and the features of an angel, which he was soon to be, resumed their wonted place in his amiable countenance.
