" A more recent account of the above process is given by Miller (Colour Trade J. , 1918). The first step in the process consists in drying the salt and the copper sulphate. The temperature of the drying chamber is maintained at 100-115 so as to ensure complete dehydration of the copper sulphate. The material is spread out on iron trays, a convenient size being 18 in. By 27 in. By 1 in. Ordinary salt can be purchased in a finely divided state, but it will probably be found advantageous to grind the copper sulphate before incorporating it with the salt, as both the former and the latter, must enter the process in a finely divided state.
