The Society's free three-day 2008 Summer Teacher Institute, "Celebrating Communit)': Count)' Histor)- in the Classroom," was held in June in Helena. Session leaders included noted historians, heritage education leaders and celebrated authors.
ik^ AiJ:^^ The Hockaday Museum of Art, Kalispell, and educators of the Blackfeet Indian Nation brought Plains Indian culture to schools in 2008 through assistance from the Indian Education For All Best Practices initiative, Tom Cook, photographer The Society is also working with educators and others on a new statewide effort.
