What reading level is The Monuments of Upper Egypt, a Translation of the "itinéraire De La Haute Égypte" of Auguste Mariette-Bey book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

The site of these commemorative temples was chosen from religious motives pe- culiar to Egypt, to which there is no need again to allude. The walls of Deir-el-Bahari are covered with various cartouches which at first sight are calculated to cause a certain confusion in the visitor's mind. The fact is Hatasu took to herself different names according as she either shared the throne Avith her two brothers Thoth- mes II. and Thothmes III., or as she subse- quently governed with the title of Regent ...in the name of the latter of these two princes, or DEIR-JBL-BAHABI. 257 again, as she eventually reigned alone in her own name. Science has not yet, we think, said its last word on the subject of these different names, and perhaps the solution of the problem may be found in some inscriptions lately brought to light in the temple we are now examining.
Deir-el-Bahari was constructed on a singular plan, and even from a distance it bears no re- semblance to any of the other temples of Egypt.
It was preceded by a long alley of sphinxes, now utterlj' destroyed, and by two obelisks of which nothing at present remains but the base.
