Islands Nos. 71 and 72, Lie pretty close to the right shore, No. 71 is a mile and a half long, No. 72 is small, and lies to the left and half way down No. 7(. Channel to the left of both these islands. Below Nos. 71 and 72 vou have a fine view of the river for several miles. French island, No. 73, Channel left side. Not far from this island and about seven miles above Green river, there is seen on the right side, a high round knob of a hill, where formerly a Frenchman kept a trading house.
