A liberated convict knew the secret of a penalty formerly incurred by this man; he denounced and had him arrested, and took advantage of the arrest to come to Paris and draw out of LafHtte's, I have the facts from the cashier himself, by means of a false signature, a sum of half a million and more, which belonged to M.
