So that in respect to all and each of our sins, if we would view them rightly, we must view them in reference to ourselves as in- dividuals. Our neighbors may be very sinful, an*d so may the community in which we live ; still we are so, in our own degree, according to our own " ways, " — and to " search" into these ways aright, we must be aware of our peculiar biases to self-justification. We have already remarked, that every body is disposed to look with favor or indulgence upon his own case.
