A daughter of Commander Perry mar- ried Augustus Belmont, the celebrated banker a o most excellent man, now in Europe.
Thomas Slidell, the brother of John (Rebel, ) died a bachelor.
Another brother, Alexander Slidell, was placed in the Navy.
