Vaill, preached the funeral sermon, taking his text from Matthew 25 : 23 ; "His Lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make the ruUer over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. Oct. 30, 1834, Mr. Cramp- ton requested to be dismissed: reason, he could not support his family on the amount received. He was accordingly dismissed, Nov. 5, 1834. Rev. George Carrington was called by vote of the church and society, Jan. 26, 1835, and was installed as junior pastor Feb. 25, 1835. Mr. Car- rington retained his pastoral relation to the church till Feb.
