1602-3. — On the chart of the reconnaissance of the northwest coast by Sebastian Vizcaino, drawn up from his thirty-two sub- charts by the officers of the Sutil y Mexicana in 1792-1802, the name "Californias" stretches through parts of Upper and Lower California.
