Samuel ii, ) ' For the LORD of KNOWLEDGE is GOD. ' " Here is almost theapothesis of the Gnosis. Then the same rabbi continues, " Great is the sanctuary (the temple) for it was placed between two names of the Deity ; as it is said (Exodus xv, ) ' Thou hast wrought, LORD !
