[ Taps his chest] As comes the dawn.
He came: he say, put bullets in your rifles.
He say, make fight. Plenty of Indian comes.

Eagle-Talon [lifts his hands with fingers extended ] As close on Eagle-Talon As these few miles.
Howard [turning; in a slow^ masterful voice] Men, get your rifles.
