The only evil result is that by pro- viding alms and food for the poor, they encou- rage beggars and paupers. 19 52, Meantime, how many pleasures are in reserve for the Wealthy, who discarding those arising from vicious indulgence or even mere luxury, find a delight in doing good, relieving distress, fostering merit and rewarding the wor- thy. . . Thrice happy are they, who beloved of God who has gifted them with wealth for good purposes, do not abuse their trust, but deserve the Veneration of their fellow men, by becoming their Benefactors, thro' the exertion of Benevo- lence, Charity, Generosity and Philanthropy.
