It may be said that there are three grades of wheat for practical pur- 60 THE POSSIBILITIES OF MODERN POULTRY -FARMING.

Supposing best wheat to be reasonable in pribe, it may be used frequently as a last feed for growing stock four times a week, also every other day in winter for breeders, and every third day in summer.
It should be mentioned here that a handful of best wheat will go nearly twice as far as will the .same quantity of tail, and beginners will do well to remember that overfeeding is far worse for poultry than the opposite extreme. Also wheat used sparingly is one of, if not the most useful of grains we have for poultry feeding.
