P. 25738 - A.D. 1903. 100 parts of commercial lime salt of 1:5 anthraquinone di-sulpho-acid are stirred up in 500 parts of hot water, and in this are slaked 100 parts of lime, and then 30 parts of salt peter and 100 parts of a 20 per cent solution calcium chloride are added, and the whole is kept under pressure in the digester at a temperature of 180 - 220 degrees Celsius until there is no longer any trace of oxy- sulpho-acid.
