10, which em- powers its owner to deal with the land at law as freely as he might have dealt with the use in equity. The requisites 4. Thcrc are six circumstances necessary to the execu- iists-, vdn- tion of uses under the statute, viz. : — ■ (1. ) A person seised to the use. The statute expressly requires this: — "Where any per- son or persons stand or be seised or at any time hereafter OF USES AND TRUSTS. 367 shall happen to be seised, of and in any honours, &:c. To the use, confidence, or tr...ust of any other person or per- sons. " All persons, who were capable of being seised to uses before the statute may still be seised to a use. Aliens and corporations are excluded. If an alien be enfeoffed to uses, the statute executes the use until ofiice found ; but, upon office being found, the use is destroyed by relation. A corporation cannot stand seised to a use, because a subpcena from Chancery could not be issued against it to compel the performance of the trust, a reason which has now ceased to operate.
