Midwife classes — 17 have had complete courses in 17 counties. Much personal work was done among doctors in an effort to have them appre- ciate the importance of instructing and supervising midwives. At the annual meeting of the State medical association a resolution was passed approving any midwife work which might be done by the State board of health.
Maternity and infancy work has increased during the past year.
