A darputnidar paying money as rent to save the putni from sale, is entitled to a refund even though his name has not been registered in the office of the superior holder. Tara Chand Btnerjee, 11 W. R. , 357. A mortgagee of the darputni tenure is entitled to a decree against the darputnidar for the sum paid by him to save the putni from sale.
