Mark says they fled from the sepulchre, and said nothing to any man (xvi. 8). Dr. Farrar says, " They hurried back in a tumult of rapture and alarm, telling no one except the disciples. " (" Life of Christ, " II. , 432. ) As if this exception were quite in the spirit of Mark's narrative !
