Form of verification by an agent or attorney. — The affidavit of verification, whether made by the party or his agent or attorney, must be to the effect that the pleading is true to the knowledge of the deponent except as to the matters therein stated to be alleged upon information and belief, and as to those matters he believes it to be true. "Where it is made by an agent or attorney, he must set forth in the affidavit the grounds of his belief as to all matters not stated upon his knowlege, a...nd the reason why it is not made by the party.^ The old Code required that when a pleading was verified by a person other than the party he should set forth in the affidavit his knowledge, or the grounds of his belief, on the subject^ and the reasons why it was not made by the party .^ Under the present Code it is not necessary that the agent or attorney verifying a pleading should specify in the affidavit of verification what allegations of the pleading are made upon his personal knowledge, or what allegations are made upon information and belief.
