If men deem it worth their while to preach, will do the amount of studying and thinking that qualifies them for it, are prepared for the many difficulties, discouragements, re- buffs, misunderstandings, misrepresentations, and humil- iations that attend it, show themselves ready to submit to the disabilities and sacrifices that so thankless an office entails, it is to be presumed that they have something to say that is very dear to them, and is, in their judgment, very important to their neighbors.
