You e-mailed me and asked for Jez’s story shortly after the first book in the series was released. This story is for you. Acknowledgments There is a lot that goes into writing a book. Time, sweat, crying, swea...ring, tearing up of pages to restart something that just doesn’t work. I won’t lie, this book was especially difficult to write, and I think that was partly because I could relate to Jez’s larger than life personality. Though she was my most difficult character to write, she is my favorite heroine because of her determination and refusal to back down to anyone, even while facing her worst fears, which means I had to get her right on the page for my readers. I could not have written this book and turned it into the story it is without my editor’s, Monique Patterson’s, brilliance.
