What reading level is The Selection book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:
We try to keep her calm, but every time the rebels come, she thinks it’s going to be worse. Someone’s going to take her this time, hurt her, kill her. “She’s trying, miss, but I’m not sure how much more of this she can stand.” I nodded, looking over to Lucy in the bed. She had closed her eyes and fallen asleep, even though it was still quite early. I spent the rest of the day reading. Anne and Mary cleaned things that weren’t dirty. We all stayed quiet while Lucy recovered. I promised myself th...at, if I could help it, Lucy wouldn’t have to go through that again. CHAPTER 14 AS I PREDICTED, THE GIRLS who had asked to go home changed their minds once everything had settled down. None of us knew exactly who had wanted out, but there were some—Celeste in particular—who were determined to find out. For the time being we remained at twenty-seven girls. The attack was so inconsequential, according to the king, that it barely warranted notice. However, since camera crews had been making their way in that morning, some of it was aired live.

I absolutely loved this book and would 100% recommend it to everyone, especially to high school/middle schoolers. It's amazing that Kiera Cass could write a book so captivating and enchanting that you just want to read over and over again.

This book made me feel every emotion known to man in my body. My heart aches and hurts that it’s not real because I have so much compassion for it. I love it so darn much I just about want to d1e. I 100% recommend. If you don’t read it, you are missing out, for the rest of us that have, we got to experience something that made us all feel something no one else can, unless they read this. Read it. It’s a must.

Well, what can I say- bad book, pretty cover. It's a shame...such a needless waste of a perfectly good design...

I absolutely love this book! It is full of so much emotion, but not too sappy. If you liked this book, I actually recommend the Twilight Series. It’s actually pretty good, but the movies were poorly made.

I was about to read it until I read this review. If it's like Twilight, I'll pass. And yes, I read the books. They were painfully bad.

I don’t like this website’s format because normally have the page is not shown so I miss a lot of the book. Otherwise, this book is both heartbreaking and heartwarming!

I agree. Like, for example, how can anyone NOT figure out this: Th*t is bad. That is so, so bad. Bad bad bad.

You don't miss a lot of the book. Only a portion of the word on the right is cut off, and if you're not smart enough to utilize context clues to infer what the word was, then you're dealing with a personal fault of stupidity. *shrug*
