Employments. Farming is the principal employment of the in- habitants; the eighty men who own, or help to cultivate the soil, receive annually over six hundred dollars each, for their labor. Aboul 1, 700, 000, feet of lumber, of all kinds, are annually sawed.
Resources. Productions of the soil, $ 46, 527 ; mechanical labor, $45, 500 ; stocks and bonds, $ 21, 20f money at interest, $ 10, 400 ; depos its in savings bank, $86, 118; stoci in trade, $ 10, 595 ; from sumuiei tourists, $ 2, 000.
