This was the woman who had placed Ted in his present jeopardy, and / knew that Sharon Auer was also in love with him-Sharon who thought Ted loved her.
Meg wept as she read over the poems, pointing out particularly tender phrases to me. "T can't understand how he can forgive me after what I did to him, how he can write me poems like this." Meg slipped the poems back into the large manilla envelope and glanced around the room.
