... HOGG (Bradley). New, 1867. An immense, irregular shaped berry, often cockscombed ; bright shining orange, with very prominent seeds ; flesh creamy white, firm, melting, very sweet, extremely rich, and perfumed. Hardy, vigorous, and late. This variety has found some favor in England as an ex- hibition fruit. Fig. In Gloede's Catalogue 1868-9.
