Consciousness is seldom completely lost at the onset of paralysis. 2. The resulting paralysis is of a " monoplegic " type. 3. The paralysis is often transitory. 4. Eigidity of affected muscles comes on earlier. 5. Prognosis is much more favourable. Embolisin and ThroTnibosis.
