Instead, he turned right, towards Bauer’s stateroom. That way, he could approach the men using one of the cross passages, which would give him the element of surprise. Tremayne knew that he was still outnumbered and outgunned, and any slight advantage he could find was hugely valuable.
He opened the door at the end of the passageway as quietly as he could, and looked down it.
