The study of physiology and hygiene affords the teacher an excellent opportunity for training children in the care of health. Here they learn the structure of the body and its uses and abuses; its ...need of exer- cise, food and pure air. They learn that the surest prevention of sickness is not the dread of disease nor hothouse, treatment, but vigor of body, cheerfulness of mind and moral conduct.
