Mr. Chairman, distinguished members of the subcommittee, it's an honor to appear before you today to report the Marine C...orps' status on the implementation and effectiveness of the transition assistance program. In particular, I would like to share with you just a couple of examples of our success in imple- menting the program and the critical part that it plays in the read- justment of our Marines to civilian life and in providing an impor- tant quality of life service.
The Marine Corps transition assistance program is fully imple- mented. Over 140, 000 separating Marines have benefitted from transition services since October 1990.
