In the spring, the cattle and swine, properly marked, were driven on to the Pussta, there tended by men hired for the purpose. The vineyard was one common field, cultivated by vine-dressers hired by those who owned its dif- ferent parts.
The people appeared to Mr. Brace singularly courteous and polite.
