The effect she had on me was still so unbelievable, but now, I was no longer scared of it. There was no urge left inside of me to fight it. Something was happening between us – something bigger than me, bigger than the society. No logical explanation existed, and I didn’t care. I needed to be near her. My heart raced as I watched her sit down on the blanket and look back into my eyes.
However, the overwhelming emotions pouring out of Luke were strong enough to pull me away from her. Quickly I looked down at the ground, reprimanding myself mentally for not being careful enough. I was going to have to be on guard at all times so that my feelings for Jady did not show.
