Diane’s worse than General MacArthur. ‘I shall return’ is bollocks to her; ‘I shall never leave’ is more like it.’ Jury laughed. ‘The kettle’s boiling.’ As he measured out the tea and poured the water over it, Melrose went on to recap the talk in the kitchen with Rebecca Owen.
