The class in jewelry making, recently in- stalled in the Institute, has been conducted for the benefit of crippled and deformed boys, un- der other auspices, for the past nine years. It has in that time clearly demonstrated its use- fulness. The course is longer than others at the Institute; a period of from eight months to two years, depending upon the talents of the individual boy, has been found necessary to give pupils the grounding in the trade which they must have in order to secure employment.
