The raising of the flag over the training school at San Juan, January 15, 1900, was a scene long to be remembered. The build- ing was the first to be erected for the purpose, and is of great value to the industrial interests of the island. On that happy day, a great company of young people gath- ered about the building. Four persons were chosen to raise the flag, two young men on the platform below, and two young ladies on the balcony above.
