Claire giggled at the female appreciation that floated in behind them. Shadow seemed to have that effect on women anywhere he went. He gave them his trademark ladykiller smile and then reached for Claire’s hand.
“Come on,” he said finally. “Let’s get this over with.”
She pulled him to a stop and crowded him against the wall.
