"That was the last time I saw them." Rurik had so many questions to ask . .. but first he wanted to shake his fist at the sky and howl in fury.
He understood now, understood only too well.
Now he knew why she was so strong, so resilient, and so admirable in all the ways he thought were important.
Now he understood why they could never be logether.
