Our rescue van, which has medical and rescue equipment in it, has to stay outside for the winter months, which is bad. This van is used as a backup for the ambulance and if we should have to use the van at 3 AM in morning when it is zero degrees, we cannot give the patient oxygen because the oxygen tanks that are in the van are too cold. Respectfully submitted, Albert Akerstrom Fire Chief 32 Belmont Annual Report of 1985 BELMONT FIREFIGHTER RELIEF ASSOCIATION AMBULANCE REPORT A total of 220 medical emergency calls were made by the Fire Department in 1985 which is an increase of 40 calls over 1984. With the growth increase in Town, our medical calls will be going higher every year. Out of the 220 medical calls answered by the Fire Department, 195 patients were transported to hospitals in Laconia, Franklin and Concord.
