<; h=. o 3 1 IB O -- .2? -^ ^ 02 03 Q 40 ANNUAL REPORTS SHELBURNE LIBRARY The library has been open for a minknum of three hours a week throughout the year and in addition the librarian, Mrs. Carletcn Frank, has made herself available at any time to fill special requests for books, particularly those coming from children to meet their reference book needs in connection with the school work. Circulation is at a new high, adults having borrowed 413 books during the year and children 1,128.
The task started two years ago of sorting out the dead wood in the library ond cataloging the remainder has been completed this year. We are indebted to Mr. Ralph Riley of Ihe State Library for his great assistance in this project. The book stock at the beginning of the year was 2,297 volumes and was increased by 88 books purchased or given to the library. Practically all of the purchases have been booiks for children with particular emphasis on reading programs and school reference work.
