Shelburne has received a refund from the state against the cost of closing our old landfill. The check for about $14,000 has been added to the town's funds for use this year.
Shelburne's long term plans for public works involve using some of the land around the transfer station for storage of needed materials that are too bulky and unsightly to place around the town garage.
