Doctrine 4. 13. For this is a principle worthy of belief, that the outward composition of the body ^hews the inward inclination of the mind, and the one follows the other, the invisibl...e life is seen by the eye, it being the glass of the mind.
Proved. 14. Therefore, when a child looks with a counte- nance, like his father, and is of the like feature ahd proportion of body, we say this child is the very image and likeness of his &ther, and for the generality, his works and ways are much like unto his father.
